Boss fights were quite a bit annoying, but I've never been incredibly good at video games. This game is a barrel of fun. 'Who needs a lightsaber.' seems to be the prominent theme throughout the game, but when you decide to use it, you have numerous wonderful combos at your disposal.
The story is really intense as it is told as if Star Wars would had a different end. The graph was excellent as expected and the game is pure action.
I loved the first part of the game playing as Vader, now that was pretty sweet. Star Wars Force was one bad a$$ game. If you are thinking of playing this I highly recommend it. I'm glad I purchased it and it was worth every penny. I really thought it would not hold my attention but I was sorely wrong on that. it was so fun that I played for numerous hours.
I've re-played it several times and I'm still not tired of it. Even if you don't like Star Wars this is an awesome game. I wasn't quite so sure then I ordered because I'm not a big game console person but I was hooked from the first time I played it.
The game does have some leveling up elements to help you create a unique character, but really, it is more of a novelty.4. 6. The number of character types is great and diverse. The AI in the boss battles is very effective. (One stage you are to rip Tie Fighters out of the sky and avoid their fire at the same time.
The number of costumes is great for your character and the ability to change lightsaber colors and crystals is nice. It is a short game and honestly there isn't much replayability. Interesting storyline occurring between Episodes III and IV, with very well animated cut-scenes, some of the best I have seen in a next-gen game. Only time in the game it happened, though).Overall, if you are a third person fan and a Star Wars fan this is a must buy or must rent.
The camera is basically free roaming and user-controlled, though at times the angles are obscured by objects in the background, which makes platforming (and there is quite a but) difficult.3. He has all force powers and skills and is basically invincible.3. Well, this was the first of what I hope will be many rentals from Gamefly. (You will meet everything from a regular jawa to stormtrooper to Imperial officer to Rancor to Jedi). The controls are average, but the most frustrating is the gripping control.
You start out the game in a tutorial mode playing as Darth Vader. (There's two endings and you can easily restart the last chapter and beat it again in the alternate manner to get the other ending).2. 5. In mentioning that, I will say that "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" is a short game as I beat it over about 3 days, as renting kind of puts you into a fast-paced mode so you can get to your next rental.Pros:1.
There were some "holocrons" and power ups I just gave up on because I died too many times trying to jump over to their location. 4. The AI for some opponents is lacking. Sometimes it grips and other times it does not. Jumping can be frustrating as the character often "slides" automatically off higher elevations.
(I stood next to a stormtrooper and then walked around him for like 10 seconds and he didn't even shoot. 6. I would rate it up there with the last great Star Wars game: "Star Wars: Battlefront II."4/5 Stars The music was classic Star Wars but was for some reason way too soft compared to sound effects.
(Check out the detail on the skin and faces of the characters or the shiny look of Vader's armor).2. Well, in order to grip you must be facing forward for it to "auto-target" the Tie Fighter--great in theory, but you then take enemy fire and die pretty quickly. Cons:1. The graphics are excellent and will have you pausing to look at scenery, backgrounds, characters and the use of the Havok physics engine means that objects are destroyed in epic glory with pieces going everywhere.5.
